Our Purpose

The desire of the Spring Valley Baptist Church Student Ministry is to see our students experience a transformed life because of the impact of the Gospel of Christ; to see families transformed and restored and to see a community transformed because of the truth of the Gospel.

Transformed Students

We believe the power of the Gospel of Christ can have a greater impact on the life of a teenager than anything in culture. It is our hope that as a Student Ministry we are able to layout the Gospel of Christ to teenagers in a way that engages their heart, soul, and mind so that they are able to be transformed into the men and women God is calling them to be.

And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

 (2 Corinthians 3:18 ESV)

Transformed Families

Just as the power of the Gospel of Christ can transform a student we believe it can transform the life of a family. God has instituted the family to display His Glory and our great hope is that as lives are transformed families will be transformed and Christ will be honored and glorified.

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.

(Deuteronomy 6:4-7 ESV)

Transformed Community

Throughout time communities have been transformed by the Gospel of Christ and we believe that same transforming power is alive and active today. As transformed students and families interact with a community we believe the power of Christ can engage and change the culture of a community for eternity.

Many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman's testimony, (John 4:39 ESV)
